Three years ago, Pauline Godin became a widower and main caretaker for her daughter, Aimee Godin. Aimee follows a daily schedule to reduce her anxiety. Her daily activities included going for walks, retrieving the mail at the post office, and going grocery shopping. COVID-19 has made Aimee’s life inconsistent. Pauline tries to bring normality to Aimee by playing card games everyday and reading books. However, Aimee and Pauline live in isolation, and have adapted to their new lifestyle. Together they try to enjoy the little moments throughout the day.
The Shaw Skatepark is one of the many areas in D.C. where skateboards congregate. Members of the community practice daily, keeping the skateboarding culture of DC alive.
After drinking the Cacao, a member medicates and focuses on her inner energy. The Cacao opens up the mind and the heart to allow the participant to focus on their well being.

I pose for a self portrait in the lake I grew up in. As a child, I would spend all my summers in the water, constantly swimming away from home, and seeing how long I could hold my breathe for. The open waters bring me peace, clearing my mind of clutter. Since I was a child, water has been my serotonin.

Brad Potts holds the scurs from the first bull he ever raised on his farm in Hopkinson, Rhode Island. Since the start of the pandemic, Brad has been unable to sell much livestock. Most people have been stocking up on grocery store meats, rather than buying local. He hopes that during the holiday season more people will buy from his farm.
