Chinatown is located in downtown Boston and is home to over five thousand residents. The small neighborhood grew in size after Providence, Rhode Island and Portland, Maine were gentrified in the 1950s. Seventy percent of the residents of Chinatown, Boston identify as Asian, which is striking to the nine percent of Boston’s overall population. A majority of the buildings in the neighborhood date back to the original development in the late 1890s. Although the business keeps changing, the neighborhoods is looking the same.

Irene Watson and her husband have been riding horses for a majority of their life. When they purchases their home, they wanted to find land that gave them access to rails to ride their hoses on. They currently live in Burillville, Rhode Island and have been riding horses to cope during the covid-19 pandemic.
